Important Notes

👉  Next-day shipping ≠ next-day delivery: Orders are shipped as quickly as possible, but we may need a couple of days to get to yours. See the question about “order status” below to know when your order will ship. Also note, we only ship Monday–Thursday.

👉  Please check out with only one item of lychees in your cart. Do not include any other products. The system will not let you check out otherwise.

What if I want to order more than 10 lbs or 15 lbs of lychees?

No problem, just go through the checkout process again with another item of lychees in your cart. Sorry for this extra step, but this will make it faster to serve everyone.

Can I order other items with lychees?

Not in the same order. Please place a separate order for any non-lychee items. Regular shipping rates will apply for those.

Do you make any guarantee about the taste of your lychees?

We do not guarantee specific taste, sweetness, seed size, or juiciness. Lychees vary naturally—and so do personal preferences.

We only ship during the fruit’s peak quality window, which is why our season is so short. Still, taste can be subjective, and we cannot offer refunds based on individual expectations.

What we do promise is fresh, high-quality fruit—and most customers are delighted with what they receive.

Order status - when will my order ship?

After checkout, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to your order status page. (Check your spam folder if needed.) Please check that link before contacting us. We will also send out emails as your order gets closer to shipping.

Need to Avoid a Delivery Date?

Leave a note in the “Special instructions for seller” box during checkout. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

Bring your shipment inside ASAP.

We pack each box with insulation and an ice pack, but for the best results, please bring your shipment indoors as soon as it arrives. Lychees don’t like to bake in the summer sun.

You may also want to sign up for UPS My Choice (free). It lets you redirect your package to a nearby UPS Access Point—a secure, air-conditioned location—so you can pick it up later at your convenience. Be sure to set this up before placing your order though.

  • Out-of-state: Ships UPS Next Day Air, arrives by 10:30am–12:00pm next day
  • Florida: Ships UPS Ground, arrives by end of day next day

Delayed Shipment?

Even with Next Day Air, delays due to weather or logistics can happen. We pack every order to handle delays as best as possible. If there’s a quality issue due to delay, we’ll handle it case by case.

Can you split my 10 lbs order into two 5-lb bags?

Sorry, no. We used to offer this, but it slowed us down. Keeping it simple helps everyone get their fruit faster.

What if I want to order 100 lbs or more of lychees?

Contact us. Depending on timing, we may be able to arrange cargo shipping. For more details, see our Shipping Info page for some background.

What about Brewster lychee availability?

These will be available later in the season. We’ll post an update when ready.

What about Sweetheart lychee availability?

Sweetheart lychee production is low across the region this year, so it’s very unlikely we’ll offer them online. Any small quantities we do have will be sold in person on a first-come, first-served basis, at random times.

How long does the lychee season last?

The season usually runs through the end of June in South Florida. However, we stop shipping around the 2nd or 3rd week of June—the fruit becomes too delicate to ship reliably. Don’t wait too long to order!

About Lychees

Lychee is a subtropical fruit originating in South China. The lychee fruit is about 1½ to 2 inches in size, with bumpy red skin and an oval to rounded heart-shape. Once the peel is removed, the flesh of lychee fruit is white or pinkish, translucent and glossy like the consistency of a grape. Lychee fruit is high in the antioxidant Vitamin C and essential mineral Potassium

Frequently-asked questions (FAQ)

When is lychee season?
In the South-Florida region—where we grow our lychees—the season is from late May to early July.

Which lychees varieties do you grow?
Brewster, Mauritius, and a limited quantity of Sweetheart lychees. The majority of what we grow are the Mauritius variety.

The Sweetheart lychees we grow are currently only sold locally and for an additional cost. We may offer these online in the future.

Can I order a specific lychee variety?
We will try to make Brewster available as it becomes ready later in the season than Mauritius, but there is no guarantee we will have ample quantity to sell.

Can I pick lychees myself at the farm?
Unfortunately, during lychee season, activity on the farm is in high gear. It would be too challenging for us to also handle guests picking lychees during that time.

More frequently-asked questions

How to pronounce lychee?
The typical American pronunciation is lee-chee.
That is in contrast to the British pronunciation, which is lai-chee.

What’s the difference between lychee and litchi?
They are the same fruit. Both words come from China, but lychee comes from the Cantonese word for the fruit while litchi comes from the Mandarin word for it. Interesting, huh?

How to eat lychees?

That's right. This ain't no grape. You can't just pop ‘em. You gotta peel them, but like everyone else who has tried lychee, you are going to soon start to wonder how do I get as many of these things inside my mouth as fast as humanly possible?

The trick is to not peel the whole thing—just peel off half the shell. Then use the other half as a holder, and bring the lychee to your mouth, then squeeze. Yum. Now do that 500 more times.

NOTE: Definitive how-to-eat-a-lychee video coming soon.

How to store lychees?
We pick, pack, and ship our fruit with care to ensure the freshest quality. The fruit is perishable and susceptible to light bruising and browning once picked and are best eaten as soon as you receive them. See this for more details.

Can you freeze lychees?
Absolutely! You can put them in a zip-lock freezer bag and toss them in the freezer. They will stay good for 6-12 months. When you are ready to eat them, let them thaw and then enjoy.

What else can you do with lychees?

There’s a bunch. You can use them in cooking. You can make a mango lychee smoothie. You can make a lychee cocktail, like a lychee martini. There's lychee sake or a lychee sake-tini.

How about trying Lychee Ceviche served at our favorite restaurant STAGE Kitchen & Bar in Palm Beach Gardens.

What are the benefits of lychee?
They generally help with contentment with one’s existence as a human being. Side effects may include intense pleasure and overwhelming good taste.

What does lychee taste like?
It is a combination of sweet and tart but with an additional element that is not describable—a flavor that is unique to lychees. One can only experience it to truly know. :)

Where to buy lychees?
Well.... you can of course go to your local Asian grocery store and pick some up. Maybe even your local mainstream grocery store has them in stock occasionally. Those are nice introductions to the fruit. However, nothing compares to getting fresh lychees delivered to you.

The bright red color and full taste are simply incomparable. So when lychee season comes around, we suggest you order from us. You’re going to wish you ordered more.
